We combine these defences with robust disaster recovery processes and Vodafone Foundation's Instant Network emergency response solution. This approach aims to minimise loss of essential telecommunication services, even during crises such as the recent adverse weather events in Europe.
Tackling crime
Vandalism and theft of our equipment can hinder our network provision and significantly impact customer service.
Vodacom has implemented advanced surveillance systems and is working with private security companies to manage the risks and mitigate the impacts of these crimes.
In the UK, the Corporate Security team’s introduction of IoT trackers has led to a 100% success rate in catching people who’ve stolen specialist equipment, resulting in £1.7 million of stock reclaimed.
