Connecting Europe

We empower millions of people in Europe with market-leading digital services, including next-generation 5G, Internet of Things devices, converged mobile, broadband and TV, plus many other digital tools that enrich life and work.

Ultra hub

Introducing Vodafone Ultra Hub and WiFi 6E: the next generation in home connectivity

Accelerating broadband speeds

We have one of Europe’s largest broadband networks with over 18m customers. Our gigabit-capable connections enable people to download large items – such as films – in seconds. In the UK, we've launched the latest WiFi 6E hubs and boosters with other European markets to follow. These enable simultaneous connection of up to 150 devices and guarantee fast speeds throughout the home.

Network as a Platform (NaaP) – all you need to know

Advanced network drives innovation

Our sophisticated Network-as-a-Platform (NaaP) technology makes enhanced capabilities – such as cloud services, accurate device tracking, and fast low-latency data transmission – available to innovators. This enables them to develop powerful new technologies to enrich people's lives, such as call identification, better fraud prevention, and more personalised and optimised devices.

Open RAN – a smart new way to connect

Vodafone and its partners are pioneering the use of open radio access networks (RAN) technology to enhance customer experiences. By building networks in a more standardised and competitive way, we can mix and match the best technologies to dramatically improve security, customer focus, energy efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

What is Open RAN

Open RAN Virtual Lab Tour

Vodafone's Open RAN lab is a hub of collaboration – bringing together industry partners, developers and engineers, all striving to improve the performance, security, and scalability of our network.

We know that not everyone can make their way down to Newbury to see it for themselves, so we’ve created a virtual tour of the state-of-the-art facility.

What is 5G Standalone?

The exciting potential of 5GSA

We believe 5G Standalone (SA) will have a huge impact on society. By using advanced equipment in the network core, it will enable much faster upload and download speeds. It will also dramatically reduce buffering and lag when connecting to the network. This technology could propel a new wave of services, such as intelligent mobility involving communication between cars, roadside objects and other vehicles.

TV

Vodafone TV

We operate one of the largest and most successful digital TV platforms in Europe. Our unique, cloud-based service offers a range of smart features such as 4K streaming, intelligent voice search, and smart replay. It's a simple, seamless experience that includes live TV and on-demand video, plus Netflix, HBO and Amazon Prime Video.

Connecting Africa

Connecting Africa

We're committed to enriching people's lives in Africa, evidenced by our strong presence there for nearly 30 years. Today we connect over 227 million people to mobile and 92 million to financial services across the continent. We've also been working hard to close the mobile gender gap, helping millions of women in Africa with initiatives such as our Mum&Baby health information service.

Our population coverage with 4G in Africa has reached 76%, up from 66% in 2022

Bringing essential services closer

We believe in increasing opportunities for people across Africa. Our digital solutions promote access to education and healthcare, helping to train young people in digital skills across the continent. We're also increasing financial inclusion through services such as M-Pesa – Africa’s most popular payment platform.

The number of customers connected to our financial inclusion services grew from 60.7m in 2022 to 92m in 2025

Connecting people to financial services

We're expanding digital access to millions of people across this fast-growing continent with our mobile money platforms M-Pesa, Vodafone Cash, and VodaPay. These services empower individuals and businesses – particularly in underserved communities – with secure, convenient, and affordable financial tools, supporting economic growth and resilience.

m-mama: connecting pregnant women to emergency care in rural Africa

Connecting people to health services

Vodafone is enhancing healthcare access across Africa by leveraging mobile technology to bridge gaps in medical services, particularly in remote communities. For instance, our m-mama initiative connects pregnant women and new mothers to emergency transport and healthcare, resulting in a 27% reduction in maternal mortality in regions of Tanzania. This initiative is now expanding into
other countries.

Connecting people to education

Vodafone Foundation programmes are improving access to educational opportunities across Africa, aiming to benefit over 5m marginalised children. For example, our Instant Network Schools give young refugees access to digital learning content and the internet. We aim to set up 200 of these schools, benefiting 500,000 refugees, by 2026.
