New product brings 5G to homes and businesses in Spain

Vodafone is launching a product in Spain – ‘Hogar 5G’, meaning ‘home 5G’ – that provides ultra-fast broadband services over 5G networks to homes and businesses, offering a credible alternative to fixed connectivity in hard-to-reach areas where the infrastructure does not yet exist.

Customers can access the 5G services through a ‘plug-in-and-go’ 5G router, which can be taken out on an independent contract or associated with an existing broadband account.

5G services will be guaranteed at the main home or business premises for each customer, but the router is also portable. A customer could take their router on holiday elsewhere in Spain, or to a remote place of work, and connectivity services would be adapted to the network available in that location.

5G services through Vodafone Hogar 5G will initially be available in Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Valencia, Malaga, Seville, Bilbao and A Coruña, with 65 cities to follow. Customers will be able to access speeds of up to 1Gbps and connect up to 35 devices to the same network.

The product will be available in Spain from November 29, 2022.
