Our innovative, world-class solutions will help our customers thrive in this evolving landscape, driving resilience and long-term value in our business.
CONNECTED DEVICES
Internet of Things demand soars
The Internet of Things – networks of devices that become smart when online – is spreading fast, fuelling huge demand for connectivity and intelligent applications. By bringing together partners and our world-leading technology, we're ready to scale IoT rapidly and create an ecosystem for the next decade.
We believe future communities will thrive with intelligent infrastructure. The IoT's potential is vast: from smartwatches to autonomous factories, and even smart cities and economies. Consumer benefits range from cutting insurance costs to advanced in-car solutions. For businesses, the IoT enables huge improvements in value, service and support.
Internet of Things connections grew 15% to 16.6bn between 2022 and 2023. They're expected to reach 40b by 2030.

The shift towards digital payments is boosting financial inclusion for millions and revolutionising money management. It demands strong and dependable networks, and our powerful connectivity and security solutions – from mobile payments to anti-fraud and point-of-sale systems — give consumers and businesses the confidence they need in this dynamic landscape.
In addition to providing secure connectivity, Vodafone is investing in fintechs to offer innovative digital services, including loans, insurance, e-commerce, payment wallets, and tap and pay. The opportunities are boundless, and we continue to invest in advanced infrastructure such as 5G to support vibrant growth in this area.
The annual value of mobile money transactions is accelerating and grew 16% to $1.68 trillion globally in 2024. There were 75% more registered accounts in sub-Saharan Africa than previously estimated.

CLOUD TECHNOLOGY
Cloud unfolding
The rapid shift towards cloud computing brings incredible opportunities. Consumers can cut costs and boost convenience, while businesses can increase efficiency and agility. As the future of cloud unfolds, Vodafone's innovative services – including secure storage, SaaS solutions, and hybrid cloud – help drive these transformative benefits while ensuring data responsibility.
The increasing adoption of advanced cloud technologies by consumers and businesses drives demand for fast and secure connectivity. It also creates enormous potential for Vodafone to drive simplicity, growth and enhanced experiences for customers.
Cloud revenue growth more than doubled to $496bn between 2019 in 2023. But only 30% of workloads have moved to cloud so far. The addressable market is set to grow 22% a year and reach $2 trillion by 2030.
