Human rights at Vodafone
Vodafone commitment to respecting human rights is central to how we do business. We believe that, wherever we operate, we contribute to the wealth and development of countries and their people in a way that advances human rights and supports a fair and equal society.
As well as the positive opportunities we create, we are also conscious of the human rights risks associated with our operations. We work hard to make sure we don’t create those risks ourselves, and are not linked to risks created by others that we work with.
We are committed to implementing the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights – the global authoritative standard on the responsibility for businesses to respect human rights – to continually improve our approach.
Human rights underpin the Sustainable Development Goals and Vodafone is committed to playing our role. We believe we can increase the speed of delivery across a wide number of SDGs through leveraging our technology and services, and through partnering with others.
