Future-ready skills

The transformation into a new generation connectivity and digital services provider requires new skills and capabilities in our organisation, which we continue to accelerate through our skills programme. All employees have access to update their skills profile to support skills development. This year, we started to deliver Skill Accelerators and Skill Labs for critical skill areas such as agile project management, software engineering, automation, and cyber security.

Our technical career path supports the attraction, retention and development of our technical experts and sits alongside a leadership career path. This is designed to provide more formal ways to recognise and reward, giving choice in career direction.

We recognise that we are at our best in diverse teams in an inclusive environment and therefore are focussing on developing strong leadership and people skills to empower people across our organisation.

Digital & personalised experience

Our people experience and strategy execution is powered by our advanced digital tools and systems, to deliver simplicity, efficiency and an enhanced experience across people processes and the people lifecycle. We have established SuccessFactors as the single foundational platform and integrated new tools and apps such as Medallia, DocuSign, our diversity data profile page, and domestic violence portal.

We have an AI-powered integrated platform in place (Grow with Vodafone) that optimises the recruiter, hiring manager and candidate experience and supports reskilling at scale. We also provide a simple and personalised new joiner experience through an evolved Onboarding solution. To further enable a seamless people experience and standardised usage of people data and insights, we continue to operate with other digital solutions including a strategic workforce planning tool, a HR data lake, and an evolved HR chatbot available in multiple markets, that will continue to scale.
