Vodafone's innovative sonic identity, known as the Sound of Vodafone, has been recognised at the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARDS 2025.
The aim was to craft a distinct and memorable sound DNA that acts as an additional brand cue, enhancing consistency, awareness, and recall. Designed by Amp GmbH, the Sound of Vodafone can be flexibly adapted across a variety of genres and channels to cultivate a personality that is optimistic, modern and reflects Vodafone’s brand.
Vodafone’s AI-driven Sonic space tool allows employees and agencies globally to create new music in various styles and moods in addition to voice overs in 60+ different languages while maintaining brand integrity and creative flexibility.
The award was presented in the Communications / Sound Branding category by iF International Forum Design GmbH, one of the world’s oldest independent design institutions.
Convincing the international jury of 131 design experts, amp’s work proved its excellence in a highly competitive field of nearly 11,000 submissions from 66 countries.
Since 1954, the iF DESIGN AWARD brand has internationally established as a symbol of outstanding design excellence. The iF DESIGN AWARD honours design achievements in disciplines ranging from product and packaging, communication to service design and user experience.
