Today we hosted a #BlackLivesMatter company-wide webinar with Vodafone employees from around the world to listen to the stories of our black colleagues, learn from their experiences and identify the changes we need to make for progress on racial diversity.
Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our purpose as a company. They are what we stand for. I believe that a diverse and inclusive society is a stronger one. As I watch the demonstrations around the world, I believe we are watching a historic moment of change – one which we should embrace both personally and as a company. And as we reflect today, we can do better and do more to specifically address diversity and inclusion for our black colleagues.
Vodafone has made progress in gender diversity, in LGBT+, and more recently supporting victims of domestic violence and abuse. We oppose violence, hatred and we have zero tolerance regarding racism and racial discrimination within our company. We support the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Our priority now is to keep listening to our colleagues and to make meaningful changes that truly drive a diverse and inclusive culture for all at Vodafone and society more broadly.
