Vodafone has again secured a place on CDP’s prestigious annual ‘A List’ in recognition of its leadership on corporate transparency and performance on tackling climate change.
CDP is a global non-profit organisation that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system for companies, capital markets, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.
Vodafone was recognised by CDP for its actions to cut emissions, mitigate climate risks and contribute to the low-carbon economy, based on data reported by Vodafone through CDP’s 2025 climate change questionnaire.
Vodafone achieved a key milestone in its environmental programme by reaching its 2025 target to match 100% of the grid electricity purchased and used its global operations with electricity added to the grid from renewable sources.
Joakim Reiter, Vodafone’s Chief External & Corporate Affairs Officer, and Executive Member in charge of ESG, said: “As the demand for data on our networks grows each year, Vodafone’s ongoing strategy to address climate change is critically important to ensure we’re meeting our net zero commitments.
“Our inclusion in the CDP ‘A List’ again reaffirms our approach against our targets and our wider commitment to transparency on progress through our Climate Transition Plan.”
CDP’s annual environmental disclosure and scoring process is widely recognised as the gold standard of corporate environmental transparency, with the scores used to drive investment and procurement decisions.
A detailed and independent methodology is used by CDP to assess these companies, allocating a score of A to D- based on the comprehensiveness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks and demonstration of best practices associated with environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful targets. Those that don’t disclose or provide insufficient information are scored an F.
The CDP ‘A List’ for 2025 is due to be published by CDP on the 8th of January 2026.
