As Porsche Formula E’s Official Communications partner, Vodafone has in recent years partnered with the iconic sports car manufacturer on several initiatives covering Formula E, the Mobil 1 Cup and the Porsche eSports Supercup.
But with a shared vision to improve people’s lives, we are pleased to announce a new initiative, driven by Porsche, to help fight COVID-19 with their new Dreamracer campaign.
Scientists at Imperial College are already racing to help fight COVID19 – and you can help them by downloading Vodafone Foundation’s DreamLab app to donate your phone’s processing power while you sleep! Every single person on the planet who has a smartphone can join this fight and become night-time heroes by donating their data to research whilst sleeping via DreamLab. Porsche are truly embodying their philosophy of being ‘driven by dreams’, and are now proactively contributing to the research.
Porsche Formula E’s drivers, Andre Lotterer and Neel Jani, have downloaded the app and will be sharing bedtime racing stories on the official Porsche Formula E Instagram channel over the coming weeks.
How can I get involved?
Getting involved couldn’t be simpler. Download DreamLab onto your phone and leave the app running while you sleep. You’ll be contributing your smartphone’s processing power to help scientists with calculations – all whilst getting your eight hours’ sleep!
What’s more is the app is free and using it won’t affect your data if you’re on the Vodafone network (where the app is live) or are using WiFi. No personal data will be downloaded to or processed from your device.
Together, we can continue to #BreakBoundaries and drive science further with our dreams. So Join the Dream team. Become a #Dreamracer and fight COVID-19 in your sleep tonight.
