Hundreds of schools, youth groups, companies, charities, police services and other organisations united for a better internet on Safer Internet Day (7 February 2017). Vodafone was proud to support this important initiative once again.
Safer Internet Day (#SID2017) is an annual celebration of the positive use of technology; a powerful way of raising awareness about online safety around the world. In 2016, it reached 2.8 million children and 2.5 million parents in the UK alone.

Available for free download on the App Store, the Vodafone #BeStrong emoji keyboard app helps young people to convey compassion and support to friends who are being bullied online. The Vodafone Foundation also made donations to anti-bullying charities in return for views, shares and likes of the emojis.Find out more
Developed in partnership with young people’s charity The Diana Award, our Be Strong Online digital skills programme encourages older children to pass on their knowledge to younger peers.
