Vodafone announced today a new agreement with independent software vendor Planixs, to provide integrated private cloud capabilities to support the growth of Planixs’ Workforce Planning and Optimisation services.
The five year contract will enable Planixs to use Vodafone’s private cloud capabilities in the US, Germany and Singapore in order to provide a consistent service for its Workforce Optimisation customers whilst ensuring that all relevant data sovereignty rules are respected. Planixs will also benefit from the inherent security standards of Vodafone’s private cloud to protect the confidential HR data that is at the heart of Planixs’ product.
The global reach of Vodafone’s cloud services will help to support the delivery of Planixs’ ambitious international growth plans.
Vodafone Head of Cloud and Hosting Services Greg Hyttenrauch said, “Planixs was looking for a special kind of partner – one which could support complex, cloud based analytics and optimisation software in a secure and stable environment and do so in multiple locations. This was a combination that we could easily provide and we believe that there will be more and more demand for similar services.”
Planixs Chief Executive Officer Neville Roberts added, “Our new agreement with Vodafone has been a great boost to our business and will help us to meet the demands of customers internationally for a high quality, secure and consistent level of service. We are already seeing strong demand and are confident that this will prove to continue the successful relationship with Vodafone.”
