Intelligent, connected garden care

Stiga Group has been providing garden care products from machinery and tools to innovative equipment in the past 90 years in Europe and around the world. Their head office is located in Italy and they sell more than 1 million gardening machines a year. They are transforming their operations to combine traditional gardening solutions with IoT and connectivity and become a data-driven digital business.

Data-driven decisions for increased efficiency

They already had an in-house cloud network that had to be integrated with their self-serve portal to manage all the SIMs installed in lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, tractors and other gardening machines. They also needed a system to ensure prevention and product maintenance. Being more data-driven whilst focusing on engineering meant that Stiga needed a partner that could provide reliable connectivity and IoT solutions to develop smart and autonomous gardening products accessible to everyone.

Platform integration, IoT connectivity, diagnostic tools

Our IoT connectivity solutions helped Stiga gather and analyse valuable data of their gardening products, which enabled their customers to focus more on predictive and preventive maintenance and prolong product life. We integrated their cloud-based SIM management portal through APIs. The Vodafone Business IoT platform (or GDSP – Global Data Service Platform) brings added value and easy-to-manage connectivity options, with in-built SIMs and diagnostic tools.
