What is a cookie?

Why we use cookies:
  1. To facilitate your use of our website during your visit:
    Temporary or session cookies are only stored on your browser for the duration of your visit. For example these follow and track your movements between screens to provide an improved browsing experience.

    We also use the services of to serve a persistent cookie on your browser when you first visit our web pages unless there is already an Eloqua cookie on your browser because you have visited a non-Vodafone site which is also using their services.

    However, your browsing activity on our web pages will not be combined with your browsing behaviour on other websites using their services.

    We use your browsing activity on our web pages to understand which pages and content our visitors use or do not use so that we can keep our content and pages under constant review to ensure that we are delivering what our visitors seem to want.

    Although this persistent cookie does not contain any personal information about you specifically, if you do choose to register for a service, white paper or newsletter, then we will link your personal information to the browsing information associated with the Eloqua cookie on your browser. Please read the section below to understand why we would like to do this. If you do not want that to happen you can opt-out.

How we use your personal information?

We will use your personal information for the purposes of providing the service, newsletter or white paper that you have requested.

Disclosing and Sharing your Personal Information

Other than as explained in this section, we do not rent, sell or disclose your personal information or contact details to third parties for their own use.

  • It may be necessary to share your personal information with third parties who are involved in the delivery of the products and services ordered or used by you.
  • From time to time Vodafone may be obliged by law or order of the court to disclose your personal information to meet any legal or regulatory requirements or obligations - for example the law enforcement agencies are able to require phone related information from us where it is relevant to their investigations into criminal activity. In such circumstances we will take all reasonable efforts to ensure that those requirements or obligations are in accordance with applicable law.
Information Security

Vodafone recognises that its customers are increasingly concerned about how companies protect personal information from misuse and abuse. Vodafone has specialised security teams who are constantly reviewing and enhancing our technical, physical and managerial procedures and rules to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, accidental loss and/or destruction.

Please be aware that communications over the Internet, such as emails/webmails, are not secure unless they have been encrypted. Your communications may route through a number of countries before being delivered - this is the nature of the World Wide Web/Internet. Vodafone cannot accept responsibility for any unauthorised access or loss of personal information that is beyond our control.
