The first customer

This helped deliver accurate, real-time travel information in the UK, helping drivers avoid traffic.

Our IoT business began in 2009, when the very first IoT device was an in-car window-screen mounted navigation unit.

Since then, we’ve gone on to connect cars, medical equipment, trains, planes, solar panels…

IoT - living type bounce

In 2011, we were recognised as a leader in

technology for the first time.

We also had our first mining customer.

Using connected sensors to track equipment means maintenance becomes proactive, reducing costly production downtime.

By then we were making waves delivering security systems, smart meters and telemedicine.

Saving lives

In 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic hit, we showcased how IoT can impact the healthcare industry.

We supported vaccine distribution, hospital and remote care, and even the return to work with heat detection cameras.

Working with non-profit organisation Sanku, we helped small, rural African flour mills to fortify flour with key nutrients during the milling process.

This same technology is even helping to feed children in Africa.
