Instant  Network Emergency Response

Deploying our people and technology to support areas affected by natural or humanitarian disaster.

When a disaster strikes, those immediately affected are filled with fear and urgency.

From finding loved ones, reaching emergency services to enabling aid delivery, connectivity is the thread that holds response efforts together.

Vodafone Foundation’s Instant Network Emergency Response (INER) programme deploys trained volunteers with communication technology to disaster zones all over the world.

Over the past 13 years, INER has evolved from being a 2G network in boxes into an award-winning initiative that has responded to over 28 emergencies globally, including the flooding in Valencia and earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Every message sent, every call made during a crisis, means a step towards safety.

In an emergency, connectivity is vital, and through it, Vodafone Foundation is saving lives, empowering communities, and shaping brighter futures.
