TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E acquire second in the constructor’s championship

The two Porsche 99X Electric race cars have finished in the points at round four of the Rome E-Prix, the first European race of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Pascal Wehrlein, who claimed the first victory for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team recently in Mexico, came eighth in the Eternal City, with his teammate André Lotterer crossing the finish line two places behind him in the first race of the weekend.

On Sunday afternoon a strong team performance in race 5 with André Lotterer and Pascal Wehrlein earning more valuable points for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. An exciting race ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, saw Lotterer take the flag in fourth place after leading the field for some time on the Circuito Cittadino dell’EUR. Whilst Wehrlein finished in sixth place. Concluding a successful weekend with the team finishing on 85 points so far in the season, 9 points from 1st in the Teams standings. In the driver’s standings André Lotterer finished the weekend 6th on 43 points and Pascal Wehrlein on 42, ending a successful weekend in Rome.

First 2 races of the season

Over the opening weekend of Season 8, André Lotterer had a good qualifying performance, starting the race from the fifth grid spot, on the 2.495-kilometre racetrack near the capital Riyadh. André drove with the leading pack over the entire distance. However, with just several minutes of racing to go, a competitor’s accident saw the Porsche Taycan Turbo S safety car deployed. André ended the race 4th under the safety car, narrowly missing out on his first podium of the year.
