In February 2016, Vodafone Group Plc issued a two-tranche mandatory convertible bond, the first tranche of which is due to mature in August 2017. As a result, Vodafone today announces it is to commence a new irrevocable and non-discretionary share buy-back programme.

Further to the announcement of 15 May 2017, Vodafone Group Plc (“Vodafone Group”) announces today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Vodafone International Holdings B.V. (“Vodafone”), has completed the transfer of a 35% indirect shareholding in Safaricom Limited (“Safaricom”) to Vodacom Group Limited (“Vodacom”), its sub-Saharan African subsidiary.
