Vodafone Business and Extreme E
Can we win the race against climate change with technology?
Extreme E is an eco-conscious, all-electric motorsport series which takes place in some of the world’s most remote locations affected by climate change to promote urgent action worldwide.
As Extreme E’s official technology communications partner, Vodafone Business not only helps them to deliver a thrilling racing experience but also to create a positive environmental impact through technologies such as 5G, MPN and IoT.Vodafone Business works together with NGOs and the series’ Scientific Committee to help Extreme E mitigate the effects of climate change in some of their race locations through their Legacy Programme.
We’re supporting one of Extreme E’s legacy projects with our IoT ultra-early forest fire detection system deployed in Sardinia, a region hardest hit by wildfires in 2021.
We're supporting Extreme E's clean water legacy project in Scotland with our IoT HydroSense and Temperature Tag solutions to help monitor the water quality and temperature levels of the river, to help protect the Atlantic Salmon population.
Vodafone Business solutions keep Extreme E’s on-site team and drivers connected to help them deliver a great sporting experience when racing in the world’s most remote corners.
As part of our Vodafone Centre for Health partnership, we deployed Proximie’s connected remote healthcare solution at Extreme E’s races to ensure that the medical team can collaborate in real time using our Mobile Private Network (MPN).
Medical recovery, power management, logistics and connectivity - just some of the operational challenges that Extreme E have as they move from location to location, around the world. How can our tech solutions help them solve some of their challenges.
