Vodafone has been named by Gartner as a “Leader” in the Magic Quadrant for Network Services, Global*. Vodafone has achieved this positioning based upon Gartner’s evaluation of its “completeness of vision” and “ability to execute”.
The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Services evaluates the global network services of 15 organisations. The services include wide area network (WAN) services, and cloud connectivity, as well as emerging global network services such as software defined-WAN (SD-WAN) services, network on-demand services, network functions virtualization (NFV) services and virtual customer premises equipment (vCPE).
“We believe that this evaluation from Gartner reflects the strength of our offering, and the market leading global reach and quality of the Vodafone network,” said Peter Terry-Brown, Director of Unified Communications and Connectivity, Vodafone Business. “Over the last 12 months we have continued to focus on our strategy of becoming a digital services provider, helping businesses succeed in a digital world. Software defined networking is revolutionising the way our customers do business and our Ready Network enables them to use their network in a dynamic way, on demand, with all the simplicity of the cloud.”
Businesses today need secure connectivity that brings intelligence to their network and helps them grow. Vodafone’s Ready Network provides customers with the benefits of SDN (software defined networking), including immediate visibility and control. This technology means that the network can be up and running in days, without the need for specialist engineers and with no disruption to operations. Customers now have the power to make the changes that have an immediate business impact, such as prioritising bandwidth for critical applications, or launching new services with zero-touch provisioning. The network is managed in a dynamic way, on demand, with all the simplicity of the cloud and crucially, there’s no need to rip and replace existing environments.
