What is cloud migration?

Cloud migration, otherwise known as business process outsourcing (BPO), is a partial or a total process in which access to a company’s data, applications and services is transferred to a cloud. After the migration, data can be retrieved from behind the cloud’s firewall.

The process of cloud migration helps organisations with managing services and IT resources securely. Likewise, it aids companies with scaling down operational costs. Data can be transitioned from business premises to a public cloud, or from one cloud provider or platform to another.
