What is a multicloud strategy?

28 May 2020

There are three common ways an organisation can build a cloud environment: public, private, hybrid (and multicloud, which is the combination of the three).

Multicloud is not the same thing as hybrid cloud, although the two terms are often taken to mean the same thing. Multicloud usually refers to the use of multiple public clouds. It is a highly customisable solution with wider security options. With a multicloud strategy, customers can choose to work with more providers, select a wider range of add-ons and pricing, making this option more flexible.
