Vodafone is recognised as a “Leader” by Forrester Research in its new report, The Forrester Wave™: Software-Defined WAN Services, Q4 2020. Ranked top in the strategy category, Vodafone also tied for the highest score in the product offering range criterion and received the highest possible scores in the criteria of [customer] support, differentiated services, vertical focus, pricing flexibility, and [number of] regions served.
The Forrester Research report says that, “As legacy WAN architecture becomes less effective for multicloud environments, flexible, cloudlike services models that mask the complexity of underlays and switching will dictate which providers lead the pack. Vendors that can provide a breadth of product and services, management tools, and security services while demonstrating a strong roadmap position themselves to successfully serve as strategic partners to enterprise customers as they adopt a businesswide fabric.”
In Vodafone’s vendor profile, the Forrester Research report said: “With multiple SD-WAN platforms and security integration across each, customers can focus on finding the right one for their unique applications and the traffic entering and leaving their remote sites. Global organizations that have a strong presence in EMEA and Asia and need deep SD-WAN expertise should consider Vodafone.”
The Forrester report evaluates 10 providers of SD-WAN services against 30 criteria, grouped into three high-level categories; current offering, strategy and market presence. Information is acquired through a detailed questionnaire, customer reference surveys, demos and briefings with the provider. Those inputs, along with the analysts’ experience and expertise in the marketplace, are then used to give vendors a score.
“I’m delighted that Forrester has recognised Vodafone as a leader in The Forrester Wave for Software-Defined WAN Services*,” said Peter Terry-Brown, Director of Unified Communications and Connectivity, Vodafone Business.
“Digital transformation is only as rapid and agile as the infrastructure it is built upon. Our software-defined solutions across WAN and LAN give our customers the agility of the internet and cloud, with the service experience of a dedicated infrastructure. Flexibility, scalability and secure connectivity are the currencies of the modern network and a must have for businesses wanting to become future ready. Vodafone leads in all three.”
Vodafone is a provider of fixed, unified communications and mobile network services around the globe, with deep roots in Europe, Africa, and the APAC region. Vodafone’s SD-WAN is a “network-integrated” solution and can be delivered using a range of vendor platforms selected to meet the precise needs of specific business segments.
