In this year’s Magic Quadrant, Gartner evaluated established global network services including WAN services and cloud connectivity, as well as emerging global network services including SD-WAN services, network on-demand services, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) services and Virtual Customer Premises Equipment (vCPE).

We believe our position in the “Leaders” quadrant recognises:

  • The expansion of our cloud connect capabilities into 18 cities, with new providers and locations across all regions, including partnerships with AWS, Azure, IBM and Oracle
  • Enhancements in our managed SD-WAN services, including additional vendors and expansions in security, vCPE and NFV products
  • Global expansion of our internet capabilities, now covering 195 countries through direct and third party access with companies including AWS, Google and Microsoft
  • Our continued creative and innovative approach to creating an end-to-end integrated digital experience for customers, with new enhancements in self-serve and automation capabilities
  • The acquisition of Liberty Global assets in Europe last year have made Vodafone the owner of the largest next generation network in the region, providing our customers with market leading network scale

With many global companies already benefitting from Vodafone’s high-performance networks around the world, including the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific, we are continuing to invest and set up customers for success when it comes to their digital ambitions.  Connectivity is key for businesses to bring intelligence to the network and to help them grow.

20 vendors in total were included in the Magic Quadrant which evaluates organisations in terms of their “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision”. Vodafone has improved its position on both axis.

Gartner describes companies in the “Leaders” quadrant as:

“Providers in the Leaders quadrant are performing well and maintaining a stable organization with a clear vision of market direction. They deliver comprehensive portfolios of quality network services across broad geographies. They address the global networking needs of a broad range of enterprises is terms of size, geographic distribution and vertical industry. Leaders shape the direction of the market by extending their coverage, developing new class-leading capabilities and new commercial models, and deploying them at scale.”
