Inspiring Leaders

Vodafone Foundations ‘Leadership Lessons’ are a series of interactive lessons where globally recognised leaders connect with students at our Instant Network Schools in the Dadaab refugee camp. Using Vodafone’s technology and networks, Vodafone Foundation aim to overcome the confines of the four walls of the classroom, not only allowing students and teachers to access online educational content, but also connecting them to individuals around the world who we hope will inspire and encourage them.

For students, many of whom will have been raised in the camp with little to no exposure to the outside world, Leadership Lessons are the chance for them to engage with leaders and experts from completely different walks of life, to learn about their area of expertise and to ask questions. Hosts have included Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Malala Yousafzai; Paul Polman, CEO, Unilever; Vint Cerf, Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelistic, Google; and Vittorio Colao, CEO, Vodafone.
