17 May 2021Press Release

Service initially available in the UK, Italy and Spain, with additional markets to follow

Vodafone Business today announced the launch of its business boosting packages designed to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Europe on their digital journeys. These packages are available initially in the UK, Italy and Spain, with additional markets in Europe to follow in the coming months.

The business boosting packages bring together a range of tools that enable SMEs to create or improve their online presence, reach new customers and overcome the challenges they face to achieve their growth ambitions.

The solutions and support are aimed at small business owners who want to or have recently embraced digital technologies and have ambitions to reach a wider audience and grow revenue but need some extra guidance to get there.

The Vodafone business boosting packages provides small businesses with:

  • Setup support: specialist one-to-one advice and support for businesses looking to create or migrate a website / web shop.

  • Ecommerce guidance: how to set up, run and scale online stores.

  • Brand identity: capabilities to help businesses grow their brand, such as email hosting and logo makers.

  • Security: to safeguard both a business’s and its customers’ data.

  • Support: through our V-Hub advisors and a Go digital guide.

  • Community: learn from other businesses, sharing knowledge and experiences.

  • Social media marketing: markets such as Italy and Spain will provide tools to help businesses get the best from social media, in addition to resources like free educational tools and support.

Vinod Kumar, Chief Executive, Vodafone Business said: “The success of every economy relies upon the success of its SMEs.  They are the beating heart of Europe, driving economic growth and success across the continent.

“Together we can enable small businesses to benefit from the right tools, skills and support they need to digitally transform, quickly and confidently. These packages are designed to provide the technical building blocks for success as well as the advice needed to use them well.”

The business boosting packages were launched at Vodafone Business’ week-long event aimed at SMEs. #ThoseWhoDare, has brought together thirty visionary entrepreneurs, leaders and partners to share their daring stories to help inspire Europe’s small-and-medium-sized businesses.

Supporting SMEs through their digital journey

Vodafone has already supported 3.65 million European SMEs and SOHOs through their digital journeys.

Vodafone’s free digital business advice service V-Hub is already available in the UK, Spain, Italy and Germany, providing expert support to European SME customers on topics such as website construction, security, remote working and digital marketing.

More than 1.2 million European businesses are now using the V-Hub knowledge centre, which provides access to online guides, videos and webinars,  and a chat and phone service putting businesses directly in touch with experts about specific questions, while ensuring the content caters to different levels of technical understanding.

Together We Can

The Vodafone business boosting packages are the latest initiative following the launch of Vodafone’s new brand positioning – ‘Together We Can’ – demonstrating Vodafone’s belief that the partnership between technology and society can build a better future.

In April 2021, Vodafone launched a comprehensive support package for jobseekers in Europe, Turkey, Egypt and South Africa, combining price discounts and data offers, continued access to learning and skills with Udemy and Vodafone’s Future Jobs Finder tool.  Vodafone is also donating Facebook advertising to jobseekers in some markets, helping them to promote their profiles using Facebook banner advertising to reach hiring managers.

In January 2021, Vodafone announced that the Vodafone Foundation will invest a further €20 million over the next five years to expand Foundation digital skills and education programmes by funding local initiatives in sixteen Vodafone markets. This investment is expected to reach 16 million learners by 2025.

Vodafone continues to demonstrate its vision of an everyone.connected future through four initiatives:

  • Jobseekers and other propositions to address inequalities

  • Providing free digital advice, digital tools and end-to-end solutions for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the backbone of our economies

  • Enabling access to education through connecting skills, e-learning platforms and digital skills development

  • Bridging urban and rural divides through rural connectivity
