In July last year, we asked the UK public: what would you do if you could devote a whole year of your time to a charity and get paid to do it? The amazing chance to work for your dream charity plus up to £25,000 towards your outgoings was on offer, thanks to World of Difference, a programme established by The Vodafone Foundation.
Hundreds of people applied to put their jobs on hold for one year and donate themselves to work for their favourite charities. We were overwhelmed with the quality of responses and as a result, our judges selected not just four, but six individuals to make a World of Difference.
Diaries of a World of Difference: The winners report in their own words
How are they getting on? How do they feel about the experience so far? Throughout the year, the six are
sending regular reports about what they’re doing and the impact it’s having on other people. Click on the links for their latest updates.
