Spanish Grand Prix

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton leads the Drivers' Championship after finishing second in the Spanish Grand Prix, his fourth podium finish in four races. Fernando Alonso finished third in his home grand prix. Vodafone McLaren Mercedes continues to lead the Constructors’ Championship.

Hamilton finished 6.79 seconds behind race winner Felipe Massa, while Alonso was 17.45 seconds behind.

In the post-race press conference, Hamilton was full of praise for the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team, saying the team had ‘pushed hard’ since the Bahrain Grand Prix and were getting close to matching Massa’s pace.
