Alonso wins, Hamilton second
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver and reigning world champion Fernando Alonso won the Monaco Grand Prix, with his team mate Lewis Hamilton finishing a close second. The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes drivers are now tied at the top of the Drivers' Championship, while the team continues to the lead the Constructors' Championship.
This was Hamilton's fourth successive second place, finishing just four seconds behind Alonso. Felipe Massa, winner of the Spanish Grand Prix, was third over a minute adrift.
