Canadian Grand Prix

The amazing story continued as Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won his first race at the Canadian Grand Prix. In a race of many incidents, Hamilton drove superbly to stay out of trouble, at times leading by over 20 seconds and eventually winning by 4.3 seconds over Nick Heidfeld.

Reigning word champion Fernando Alonso finished in seventh place, after winning the last race in Monaco.

Hamilton now leads the Drivers' Championship in his first season in Formula One, while the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team continues to dominate the Constructors' Championship.
