Fernando Alonso in third place
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Fernando Alonso took third place in the Belgian Grand Prix, ahead of his team mate Lewis Hamilton who finished in fourth place. The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Drivers were 14.3 seconds and 23.6 seconds behind race winner Kimi Raikkonen.
The result brings Alonso within two points of Hamilton in the F1 Drivers’ Championship, going into the Japanese Grand Prix at the end of September with three races to go in the season.
