14 April 2008: Vodafone UK and Warner Music International (WMI) announce that from today, Vodafone UK customers will be the only people in the country to have access to the “Timbaland Mobile Underground Remix” version of Madonna’s “4 Minutes” single.
Downloadable from Vodafone live! for just 49p, the extraordinary remix is a collaboration between Madonna, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake. Created in conjunction with Verizon Wireless’ Producer in Residence Timbaland, the remix was made on Verizon Wireless’ mobile recording studio bus in New York City last month, just after Madonna’s induction ceremony into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
“Working with Madonna and Justin on this underground mobile remix has been a lot of fun,” said Timbaland. “It is exciting to create a song and be able to immediately share it with millions of fans directly through their mobile phones.”

This news follows the announcement that an agreement between Vodafone and WMI would allow music and mobile content from Madonna’s highly anticipated “HARD CANDY” album to be distributed and promoted exclusively to Vodafone customers around the world, prior to the April 28th global release of Madonna’s 11th studio album for Warner Bros. Records.
Starting on April 21st, a total of seven tracks from “HARD CANDY” will be released at a rate of one a day counting down the week before the album is available. Each track will remain live for 24 hours for download before being replaced by the next one.
