- Vodafone Spain has been the leading sponsor of Cirque du SoleilTM in Spain over the last 5 years, with several shows such as Saltimbanco, Dralion and Alegria.
Malaga, 15th February 2008.- Vodafone, the world leader in mobile telephony, is present in all the events that represent the passion for communication and life. Just as has occurred over the last 5 years in Spain with the Canadian troupe's other shows, Vodafone has decided to join Cirque du Soleil as its main sponsor in the presentation of its new show, Quidam.
Quidam's Spanish debut will be in Malaga from 5th-13th June. It will then be performing in Alicante from 24th July to 31st August, and will end up in Barcelona from 11th September to 19th October.
About Quidam
Cirque du Soleil, a world-renowned renowned performance troupe that was founded in 1984, will be visiting Spain again with Quidam, A nameless passer-by, a solitary figure lingering on a street corner, a person rushing past. It could be anyone, anybody. Someone coming, going, living in our anonymous society. A member of the crowd, one of the silent majority. The one who cries out, sings and dreams within us all. This is the "quidam" that Cirque du Soleil is celebrating.
A young girl fumes; she has already seen everything there is to see, and her world has lost all meaning. Her anger shatters her little world, and she finds herself in the universe of Quidam. She is joined by a joyful companion as well as another character, more mysterious, who will attempt to seduce her with the marvellous, the unsettling, and the terrifying.
Vodafone and Cirque du Soleil share an original, passionate and modern approach to work and an optimistic and fun vision of life. Both companies are renowned for believing that everything and anything is possible and for their desire to strive to discover innovative ways of carrying them out. That is why they are teaming up to offer spectators in these cities this unique entertainment experience, full of vitality, happiness and dreams.
