Madrid, 1st October 2008.- Vodafone Spain today unveiled a campaign to support the Aragon Mobile Broadband (www.bandaanchadearagon.es) programme organized by red.es, a State-owned enterprise controlled by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, to boost Internet access for SOHOs and microSMEs in Aragon.

Vodafone is supporting the red.es initiative by launching in Aragon a special mobile broadband navigation offer for the programme that lets SMEs with up to 9 employees and SOHOs from Aragon maximise the potential of mobility to boost their productivity.

As part of the red.es sponsored programme, which is awarding grants of up to 600 euros1 for buying broadband connection-enabled computer equipment, Vodafone Spain is offering laptops fitted with its extensive array of USB modems with the 3G and 3G Premium Flat Rates, to enjoy a superior communication-on-the-move experience, and with the "Unlimited" Flat Rates, which let users transfer an unlimited amount of data without having to worry about how much they are spending. SOHOs and SMEs can choose between downloading 1GB or 5GB a month for €32 or €49 a month, respectively, with two free months' worth of data connection to start off with.

Title

Rate Monthly charge Volume Additional Traffic
3G Flat Rate €32 (2) 1 GB (Vodafone)/ Unlimited Wifi €20/ 1GB
Unlimited Rate €32 (2) Unlimited €0 (the speed drops to 128 kbps after 1 GB)
Premium 3G Flat Rate €49 (2) 5 GB (Vodafone)/ Unlimited Wifi €20/ 1GB
Premium Unlimited Rate €49 (2) Unlimited €0 (the speed drops to 128 kbps after 5 GB)

Vodafone's extensive range of USB modems are designed for download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and for speeds of 2 Mbps when uploading data to the Internet, a corporate Intranet or e-mail on the move through the USB connector.

Another of the key advantages afforded by Vodafone's complete connectivity solution, in its drive to boost broadband use throughout the Aragon region, is the immediacy of the Internet connection, because the modem self-installs and is easy to use.

“Vodafone aims to offer small businesses and the self-employed the best communication solutions, keeping the focus on mobility. Vodafone is firmly committed to fixed-mobile replacement in Spain because our goal is allow everybody to enjoy the advantages of the web and broadband anywhere”, says Juan Antonio Gomara, Manager of the Corporate Business Unit in Aragon.
