Madrid, 25th April 2008.- Antonio Catalán, Chairman of AC Hoteles, yesterday closed the 5th business mobility forum, Mobile Vodafone Expo (MOVE´08), which opened on 23rd April. Mr. Catalán remarked that "behind AC's business success lies its 3,500-strong team, coupled with technology as an essential commodity and part of our added value that we try to offer our customers every day".

Andrew Vicente, Director of Corporate Marketing of Vodafone Spain thanked Mr. Catalán "for outlining the keys to his success to the audience" and closed the fifth edition of MOVE by underscoring "the passion for innovation and for customer care that lets Vodafone's customers be more competitive in their business".

Over the two days, exhibitors unveiled the latest trends and path breaking technological proposals to offer additional services to companies, open up new communication channels between the Public Administrations and members of the public and develop more efficient social solutions.

More than 40 member companies of the Vodafone Spain alliance programme were present at Vodafone Spain's fifth mobility fair, which was sponsored by RIM, Visto, HTC, Nokia, Palm, Samsung, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, and the Vodafone Foundation Spain, and which over the two days drew more than 4,500 visitors, both from different sectors of business and industry, and from the Public Administrations.

MOVE ´08 has been designed as a hotel that symbolizes the concept of service: "We handle your communications so that you can focus on your business". The 45 stands at Vodafone's fifth mobility fair put on a broad variety of exhibitions and practical demos, giving visitors the chance to get their first look at more 120 applications for mobile environments tailored specifically to meet each customer's needs. These included innovation projects underpinned by cutting-edge technology, designed to provide more efficient services to people on the move, 2D access codes, SIM based payments, image recognition over the mobile, mobile boarding cards or balance top-ups in taxis, were some of the proposals unveiled at this year's fair.

At MOVE´08, Vodafone has placed special emphasis on Responsible Innovation in order to improve the quality of life of vulnerable population groups through products/services that reduce their level of exclusion. The lectures also covered different aspects regarding mobile telephony solutions and their inclusion in business and the Public Administrations, most noteworthy being land-mobile replacement, citizen communication services, localization and surveillance services, control and domotics services and services for integrating disadvantaged groups.

This has allowed Vodafone to reinforce its commitment to accessibility. The company has focused heavily on enhancing the quality of life of the most vulnerable groups of people (people with some kind of visual or hearing limitation, dependent people, chronic patients, the elderly, immigrants, gender violence victims, etc.), through products and services that reduce their level of exclusion.

From next October, Vodafone Spain will also be holding its Mobile Vodafone Expo in other cities of Spain. The one-day events, which will focus on each region's specific needs, will be held in Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga, Las Palmas, Seville, Valencia and Zaragoza.

Vodafone Spain underscores the importance of organising this type of specialized events in the development and demonstration of new information technologies. With MOVE´08, yet another year Vodafone has met its goal of creating a more favourable environment for the direct exchange of supply and demand of services and solutions between customers and partners, as well as new business opportunities.
