Madrid, 23rd April 2008.- Vodafone Spain and Visual Engineering have unveiled MediaSync, a groundbreaking application that turns a mobile phone into a professional camera that lets you broadcast, record and share videos and audio in real time from your mobile phone, so that they can be viewed directly in a PC, cell phone or PDA through streaming, without having to download it. MediaSync will be unveiled during MOVE:’08, Vodafone Spain’s Business Mobility Fair that opens today in Madrid.
MediaSync lets you see videos in Flash from any PC through its Web portal, with MPEG4 quality and a resolution of up to 640x480, with access and broadcasting from any network. It is easy to install in server platforms and mobiles alike, making it a tool that is simple and easy to use, and that also lets you send the videos to a central server for prerecorded broadcasts. And if your phone comes with GPS, the videos are stored with the position from which they are streamed or from where the video was recorded.
MediaSync has very different applications, for example in sectors such as:
- Media: permits live and prerecorded high quality TV broadcasts.
- Expert appraisals: lets you record videos and send them to a documentation server. For example, when an insurance appraisal expert is assessing damages.
- Emergency Services: remote support of rescue tasks, remote risk assessments and recording of the emergency team's performance for subsequent analysis.
- Telecare: Permits a preliminary examination of people with mobility problems who cannot get to a health centre.
- Technical support: can be used to help a technician in the field to fix a machine.
MediaSync is compatible with mobiles and permits integration with other systems such as FTO servers, high quality IP videoconferencing platforms or television studios.
