Madrid, 18th February 2008.- Alcobendas Town Council and the Vodafone Spain Foundation are holding a seminar on "Where are new technologies taking us?". The free seminar, open to the public, will be inaugurated by the Mayor of Alcobendas, Ignacio Garcia de Vinuesa, the Councillor for Culture, Eva Tormo Mairena, and the Chairman of the Vodafone Spain Foundation, José Luis Ripoll.
During this seminar, which will take place on 19th February at 4.45 p.m. in the auditorium of the Pablo Iglesias Cultural Centre in Alcobendas, different professionals from the world of education, university and research will take part in talks and round tables on the application of 2.0 web technologies to the world of education, the technologies that foster personal autonomy, innovation in businesses and society, education on the Net or how language is evolving with new technologies.
One of the key goals of the Vodafone Foundation Spain is the research, innovation and dissemination of Information and Communications Technologies to improve the well-being, independent living and health of all groups of people, in particular the most vulnerable.
