Vodafone Romania launches fixed telephony services for consumers through Vodafone Acasa

  • National coverage and immediate activation of the "Vodafone Acasa" service

  • Subscription fees starting from USD 4 / month, USD 0.05 flat tariff for fixed line calls and bundled free minutes

Vodafone Romania is pleased to announce the launch of its fixed line telephony services for consumers, through the Vodafone Home offering. Vodafone Acasa services are available countrywide, in all areas covered by Vodafone Romania's GSM network.

Thus, our fixed services include features like SMS over the fixed phone, as well as free access to the Cost Control and Customer Service. Vodafone Home customers have free access to additional services like Cost Control (by calling *123#), Customer Service (*222), hide call ID, waiting call, call barring, conference call. Moreover, Vodafone customers can send and receive SMS's, in the national and international mobile networks, as well as in Vodafone flixed network, at the same tariffs as in the Vodafone mobile network (USD 0.07 for national SMSs, and USD 0.15 for international destinations). The Vodafone Acasa handset features include games and ppolyphonic ring tones.

Vodafone fixed voice numbers have the prefix "0372", followed by 6 figures, and are accessible from all major national networks, mobile and fixed: Romtelecom, Orange, Cosmote, Telemobil, RCS & RDS, UPC Romania. Customers who use both Vodafone fixed and mobile services will benefit from a single invoice.

Pricing plans
Vodafone Acasa services will significantly reduce the total communication costs for customers, by offering very attractive tariffs for fixed and mobile calls, no matter the time, the week day or geographical area.

Starting today, Vodafone Romania offers to its customers four tariff plans for the fixed line telephony services (the tariffs below do not include VAT):

  • Vodafone at Home for USD 4 / month;
  • Vodafone at Home 75+ for USD 7 / month; this subscription includes 75 minutes of free calls in Vodafone fixed line network and 75 minutes for free calls to other national fixed line networks;
  • Vodafone at Home 150+ for USD 10 / month; includes 150 minutes of free calls in Vodafone fixed line network and 150 minutes for free calls towards other national fixed line networks, each month;
  • Vodafone at Home Favourite Hours for USD 10 / month; includes 300 minutes of free calls in Vodafone fixed network and 300 minutes of free calls to other national fixed line networks, each month, outside the peak hours (during the week, from 5.00 pm to 5.00 am and from Saturday, 12.00 am to Sunday at 12.00 pm).

The bundled minutes which are not used will be carried over to the next month.

On-net / off-net tariffs

  • The on-net tariff as well as the tariff for calls to other fixed line networks is USD 0.05 / minute.
  • The tariff for calls to the Vodafone mobile network is charged USD 0.05 / min, only for the USD 10 subscriptions, outside the peak hours. For all other subscription plans, the tariff for calls from Vodafone fix to Vodafone mobile is USD 0.12 / minute, no matter the hour;
  • Users benefit from a flat tariff of USD 0.19 / min for the calls to other than Vodafone mobile networks.

Promotional Offer
Customers who subscribe to Vodafone Acasa by September 2, 2007 wil benefit from free minutes for Vodafone mobile destinations, for a period from 6 to 12 months depending on the contract (1 or 2 years), as follows:

  • Vodafone at Home: includes 20 free minutes / month to Vodafone mobile network
  • Vodafone at Home75+: includes 75 free minutes /month to Vodafone mobile network
  • Vodafone at Home 150+: includes 150 free minutes /month to Vodafone mobile network
  • Vodafone at Home Favourite Hours: includes 150 free minutes /month to Vodafone mobile network.

Handsets
Vodafone Acasa is available on Sagem MyH10, which is offered free of charge together with the subscription (except for the USD4 subscription, 1 year contract, in which case, the handset will be charged USD 6). Sagem MyH10 is on sale, without any Vodafone at Home subscription, at USD 59. Vodafone will enrich the handset portfolio compatible with the Vodafone at Home services in the next period.
