Vodafone Romania expands 3G broadband - HSDPA services to the Romanian seaside

Bucharest,  July 24, 2007 – Vodafone Romania is pleased to announce the launch of the 3G broadband – HSDPA services, with network speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps, at the Romanian seaside, in the resorts: Mamaia, Eforie Nord, Eforie Sud, Costinesti, Olimp, Neptun, Cap Aurora, Venus, Mangalia and Vama Veche.

Vodafone Romania provides the most extensive coverage of the 3G broadband services, which includes, in addition to the seaside, 23 Romanian cities:  Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Brasov, Iasi, Constanta, Craiova, Ploiesti, Sibiu, Oradea, Targu Mures, Arad, Pitesti, Galati, Braila, Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Bistrita, Bacau, Buzau, Alba Iulia, Turda and Deva.

By September 30, 2007, Vodafone Romania customers benefit from the 3G broadband services promotional offer which includes advantageous prices for the data cards, down to US$O, according to the price plan and the subscription period.

Vodaafone 3G broadband services enable data transfer speeds of up to 2.8 Mbps, for a usual customer experience. Vodafone Romania provides its customers with a complete portfolio of mobile 3G broadband connectivity solutions, at speeds of up to 2.8 Mbps, covering all the communications needs, for consumers and corporate users as well: Vodafone Mobile Connect Card 3G broadband, the first 3G broadband data card in Romania for laptop users; Vodafone Smart Modem 3G broadband, for both PC and laptop users as well and Express Data Card, for laptop users provided with PCI Express slots.

3G broadband - HSDPA services are available when roaming in 24 countries / territories, through 26 operators: Germany, Portugal, Spain, UK, France, Belgium, Austria, Bulgaria, Finland, Hungary, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Denmark, Croatia, Israel, New Zealand, Japan, Luxembourg and USA. Vodafone customers benefit from an advantageous 3G broadband offer when roaming, with the Unlimited Roaming Access data package, which includes 100 MB data traffic in Vodafone preferred networks, at US$90 monthly fee.
