For the first time in Romania,Live Earth concert series will be broadcast live over the mobile phone, in Vodafone live! portal

  • Live Earth brings over 100 top international artists in live concerts on 7 continents, in a 24 hours marathon musical event

Bucharest, July 5, 2007 – Vodafone Romania is pleased to broadcast live, in the Vodafone live! mobile portal, the Live Earth concert series, on July 7 and 8, 2007. Vodafone Romania customers will be able to watch live, for free, the entire 24 hours marathon concert, which will bring over 100 top international artists on stage. The event will be offered as a special channel on the Vodafone live! Mobile TV service.

Moreover, after the event, Vodafone Romania customers will be able to watch for free various video clips recorded during the concert, which will be available for one month in a special Live Earth Mobile TV channel in the Vodafone live! portal.

On July 7th, starting 04:00 (Romanian local time), Vodafone live! users will be able to watch live, on their mobile phone, the Live Earth concerts staged in New York, London, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Shanghai, Johannesburg and Hamburg, with an estimated audience of 2 billion people. The first show will be broadcast from Sydney, starting 04:00, with the last show being broadcast at 11:00, from Rio de Janeiro. Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, Bon Jovi, The Police, Genesis, Metallica, Pussycat Dolls, Shakira, Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg are just some of the famous artists who will concert live within Live Earth event, which supports important social and humanity causes – this year an SOS signal against the global warming.
