Vodafone Romania is pleased to announce the launch of the new 3G broadband - HSDPA services, which deliver the fastest mobile data connection on the market, at speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps on the network. This provides double data transfer speeds, of up to 2.8 Mbps to Vodafone Romania customers, for a usual customer experience.
The new Vodafone 3G broadband services are available in 23 Romanian cities, covering 30% of the population: Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Brasov, Iasi, Constanta, Craiova, Ploiesti, Sibiu, Oradea, Targu Mures, Arad, Pitesti, Galati, Braila, Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Bistrita, Bacau, Buzau, Alba Iulia, Turda and Deva.

Vodafone customers can benefit from double data transfer speeds, of up to 2.8 Mbps, with the monthly US$ 5 extra-option, which adds to the 3G broadband subscription tarrifs: Mobile Internet with 100, 200 or 500 MB included traffic, charged from US$10 to US$ 25 per month; Mobile Office with 100 and 200 MB included traffic, charged with US$ 15 and US$ 20, respectively per month; Mobile Internet & Office, with 1 or 2 GB included traffic, charged with US$ 35 and US$ 49 per month.
Between June 1st to July 30th 2007, Vodafone Romania customers benefit from a new promotional offer: double traffic included in all the 3G broadband subscription packages, at the same tarrifs charged so far, available during the entire subscription period if this is longer than one year.
Vodafone Romania provides its customers with a complete portfolio of mobile 3G broadband connectivity solutions, at speeds of up to 2.8 Mbps, covering all the communications needs, for individual and corporate users as well: Vodafone Mobile Connect Card 3G broadband, the first 3G broadband data card in Romania for laptop users; Vodafone Smart Modem 3G broadband, for both PC and laptop users as well and Express Data Card, for laptop users provided with PCI Express slots.
Starting today, Vodafone Romania offers its customers a new Vodafone Mobile Connect application, Windows Vista - compatible. Vodafone customers can download the application for free, at www.vodafone.ro. Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G broadband and Vodafone Smart Modem 3G broadband are available to Apple Macintosh laptop users as well, running on Mac OS X 10.4 operating system or later versions.
3G broadband - HSDPA services are available when roaming in 23 countries / territories, through 24 operators: Germany, Portugal, Spain, UK, France, Belgium, Austria, Bulgaria, Finland, Hungary, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Denmark, Croatia, Israel, New Zealand, Japan and USA.
Vodafone Romania presented the first demonstration of 3G broadband - HSDPA services which deliver network speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps at CERF, between May 9th to 13th, 2007.
