Vodafone Netherlands and Blyk announce today to have signed an MVNO Agreement. Blyk will enter the Dutch market as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) using the Vodafone network. Blyk is expected to launch in the second half of 2008.
Blyk is the new mobile network for 16-24 year-olds that is funded by advertising. Blyk links young people with brands they like and gives them free texts and minutes every month. Blyk was founded in 2006 in Finland and is now operating in the UK. Its expansion into Europe will start in the Netherlands later this year, other European markets are under discussion.
