Savings up to 50% nationally and 85% internationally
Today Vodafone Netherlands announces to reduce its prices for mobile internet on the laptop in such a way that it expects to break open this market. By introducing a new tariff plan which can result in savings of up to 50% nationally and 85% internationally, mobile internet on the laptop will become within everyone’s reach. Not only business users, but also consumers can now use all possibilities of the internet, anytime anywhere, inside and outside the country on their laptop. Vodafone expects that this price reduction will rapidly increase the overall market for mobile internet on the laptop in 2008.
Guy Laurence, CEO Vodafone Netherlands: “We see that customers not only want to go online, but want to be online anywhere, anytime. Checking email, exploring social network sites, working or simply staying up to date on the latest news has turned into a way of live for many people. Being limited by a fixed internet cable, office hours, country borders or high costs for mobile internet on the laptop don’t fit the present needs of customers. That’s why we decided to break open this market by setting a new and unprecedented standard for both national and international use.”
The prices of these new data bundles are up to 50% cheaper for national use and up to 85% internationally. As first mobile operator in the Netherlands, Vodafone also introduces bundles that allow a combination of domestic and international use. Customers are free to determine which part of the bundle they use in the Netherlands and which part internationally. On top of that, the validity of the international bundle has been expanded from 25 to all Data Voordeelnetwerken in the 42 Passport countries.
USB modem
The plug-and-play modem simplifies mobile internet on the laptop. Any available USB port on the laptop will do, and once connected, the software is installed automatically for immediate internet access. Vodafone always offers users the highest available connection speed, up to 3.6 Mbps. The new tariffs are effective 3 January 2008. Attractive migration rules to the new tariff plan apply to existing customers. For more information on tariffs and migration rules, please visit (as of 3 Jan) vodafone.nl/zakelijk.
