EUR 100,000 in prize money for most innovative and creative mobile internet initiative
Today, Vodafone launches Vodafone Mobile Clicks 2008, a competition for mobile internet start-ups in the Mobile Monday community. A total of EUR 100,000 in gross prize money will be given to the best idea(s) for a mobile site, service or application. The finals take place at the PICNIC event in September 2008. With this initiative, Vodafone aims to give an extra impulse to the Dutch mobile internet sector. Vodafone Mobile Clicks 2008 is organized in cooperation with PICNIC 2008 and SPRXmobile, established by the founders of Mobile Monday Amsterdam.
The contest consists of four rounds in the period July to September 2008. All good ideas, concepts or prototypes for mobile sites, services or applications by people over 18 can be submitted. Services of existing start-ups, if not older than three years, can also be put forward.
