Directory Assistance and Call Completion by Vodafone now via 1800
Maastricht, 27 March 2007 - As of tomorrow, all people in the Netherlands can call the new number 1800 for the Directory Assistance and Call Completion service by Vodafone. The number 1800 is chosen by Vodafone to replace its 118 number, which will be disconnected as of 1 April. A new feature of the Vodafone 1800 service is that the service is now accessible for all callers in the Netherlands, through mobile phones as well as fixed lines. With this, Vodafone extends its service offering to non-Vodafone customers.
Through 1800, Vodafone offers Directory Assistance about all fixed and mobile phone numbers in the Netherlands. Callers can also ask to be put through to the requested phone number and will receive the phone number by SMS. Callers can request a maximum of 6 phone numbers each time.
Peter Doveren, Director Customer Management of Vodafone Netherlands: "We experience a growing demand from customers for easy to use and personal services. That is exactly what we train our advisors to deliver. That we can now extend this service towards the entire Dutch population, including people who are not yet a Vodafone customer, is a very exciting new challenge."
Directory Assistance and Call Completion by Vodafone is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With an average waiting time of 9 seconds it is one of the fastest services in the Netherlands. Vodafone has received several awards for the quality of its customer service. The service costs EUR 1.30 per call.
