Receiving Voicemail for free when roaming with Vodafone

03 April 2007

Maastricht, 3 April 2007 - As of this week Vodafone customers receive voicemail messages on their mobile phone for free when roaming. This applies to all Vodafone postpaid and prepaid customers (including Z11), worldwide. When customers are abroad, they receive a free SMS message if a voicemail message has been deposited. They can then decide whether to retrieve the voicemail message or not.

With this free deposit of voicemails, customers no longer incur unexpected roaming costs. By using voicemail, Vodafone customers can stay in touch, even when abroad.

Free deposit of voicemail messages when roaming is the next step in a range of benefits Vodafone offers its customers when they are abroad. This service, creating more price transparency and substantial price reductions in mobile voice roaming tariffs for consumers, is in line with the European Union's request.
