First Palm smartphone also for consumers

Maastricht, 15 October 2007 – As of today, the Palm Treo 500v smartphone is exclusively through Vodafone available on the Dutch market.  Exclusivity period runs until January 2008. With this UMTS smartphone, Palm is aiming at business customers, but for the first time also at demanding consumers.

The device is operated by Windows Mobile 6.0, has a full QWERTY keyboard and a large screen. The smartphone is designed for e-mail, Instant Messaging, Text Messaging, MMS, phone and internet. Programs like Microsoft Office (including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) and Google Maps make this smartphone complete. Obviously features like a camera, MP3 and MPEG4 player are included. This compact and new design is available in two colours: glacier white and charcoal grey.

In combination with a Vodafone subscription, the smartphone is available at all Vodafone Winkels as from € 0,-. Without subscription the device is available for € 299 excluding VAT. For more information about the device and subscriptions please visit vodafone.nl/palm
