Vodafone Malta awarded the Euro-Label Trustmark

06 May 2008

Vodafone Malta Limited has been awarded the government's E-Trust certified Euro-Label, the European electronic shopping Trustmark with which customers may be assured that Vodafone offers reliable and trustworthy E-Services.

There are several criteria with which a business must comply in order to obtain the Euro-Label. The awarding of this Label shows that Vodafone's on-line purchases are reliable and that data protection measures are attentively followed. The payment conditions are available on http://www.vodafone.com.mt/page/terms_termsandconditions.html, and Vodafone's services are delivered as specified when customers affect online top-ups or payments.

"The Euro-Label assures our consumers of the reliability of our e-commerce systems. It is specifically designed to give confidence in cross-border transactions. Vodafone Malta has always adhered to the highest security standards for providing online services and this Label is a certificate to our trustworthiness," said Daniela Bagnaschi, Consumer Marketing Manager at Vodafone Malta.

As an added security feature, Vodafone prepaid customers buying credit online and postpaid customers paying their bills online are asked to insert the three PIN digit number found at the back of any credit or debit card. This PIN, known as CCV2, is a security feature for credit or debit card transactions, and gives increased protection to customers against credit card fraud.
