Seven local Bayern Munich supporters, together with a delegate from Bayern Munich Supporters Club, will be attending one of the UEFA Champions League semi-final matches following their win during the Vodafone Football Tournament organised recently at the Pieta Hotspurs Football Ground. Co-ordinators of tournament were Carmel Busuttil, Martin Gregory and Frankie Ciantar.

The 5-a-side football tournament was open to local official supporters' clubs, of the foreign European football teams. The participating local supporters clubs were Arsenal, Man United, Roma, Milan Club - Qormi, Milan Club - Zebbug, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter.

The teams were split in two Groups with four teams each with the first two teams of each group going through to the semi finals. The semi finals were then contested by the Milan Supporters Club of Zebbug against the Milan Supporters Club of Qormi and the Chelsea Supporters Club against the Bayern Munich Supporters Club.

Milan Supporters Club of Zebbug and Bayern Munich contested the final with the veterans of Bayern Munich emerging winners with the score of 4-2.

The winning team is made up of Mark Micallef, Victor Borg, Michael Azzopardi, Joseph Galea, John Mifsud, Martin Bonavia, Joseph Farrugia and Ansley Sapiano. Prize also includes flights and accommodation.
