Milan, 28 June 2007 – Vodafone is revolutionising its mobile e-mail service offering and presents Vodafone Mail, the service that makes it even easier and quicker for you to manage the e-mail messages on your personal or corporate account directly from your mobile phone.
Vodafone Mail provides easy access to your e-mail accounts, contacts, diary and schedule anywhere and anytime, leaving you free to choose between various compatible handheld devices, including: Motorola Q9h, Nokia E50, Nokia E60, Nokia E61, Nokia E65, Nokia N73, Palm Treo 750v, Samsung SGH i 520, Samsung SGH-i600, Vodafone 1210, Vodafone 1405, Vodafone 1605, Vodafone 1640.
Vodafone Mail is based on the Visto Mobile 5.5 messaging solution by Visto Corporation. An exclusive Vodafone offering, it allows you to access up to 6 e-mail accounts from your mobile phone and, thanks to the ConstantSync™ platform, interfaces in real time with the most frequent business and private e-mail solutions including POP3, IMAP and Microsoft Exchange.
Moreover, Vodafone Mail’s new functions, which include automatic e-mail address search of business contacts and synchronisation of the calendar with all activities and tasks, will make you feel just like you are connected to your PC. And now installing Vodafone Mail is even simpler thanks to an easy setup interface that allows you to activate the solution in just 6 clicks.
Vodafone Mail for businesses is available in various versions: professional, enterprise and daily. The professional version, for professional people and self-employed workers with a VAT number, costs €15 per month for 24 months (excluding VAT). The enterprise version, for businesses with their own server and e-mail account, costs €30 per month for 24 months (excluding VAT). For people who only occasionally need to access their e-mail while on the move the daily version is available at the special price of €1 per day (VAT included) until 16 September 2007. The sum of €1 (excluding VAT) will only be charged in the event of a connection. All business versions offer a two-month Try&Buy period free of charge so that customers can try out the new functions.
Vodafone Mail is also available to private customers at the special price of €9.90 per month until 15 September 2007. After the promotional period, the service fee will be €15.00 per month. A one-month Try&Buy period is also available for the private version.
